So I was finally roped into attending the carnival of my old village Abbots Langley. Somehow, though I lived there for four years and I still have ties to the place, I have always seemed to have found something better to do. No such excuses yesterday ( Read more... )

Is there actually a Jubilee on? Because, despite the media saturation and amount of bunting for sale in the shops, I have not seen one shred of evidence that any parties were going on during my travels today and yesterday ( Read more... )

So the Olympic torch will be passing the end of my street, on a Sunday, at a reasonable hour in July. I really don't have much of an excuse to not bother with the momentous event then, do I? Seeing that's it's made such an effort to get to me.
